Gold Medal Winner -Young Meets Old
The oldest Cab Sauv in Paso (Brecon) has somehow hooked up with one of the youngest hill top Cabs (Hawks Hill). This is, in fact, a very appropriate relationship in wine terms as the older Cab provides a broad spectrum of flavors and just oozes sophistication. Young vines are known for their more focused, tiny, flavor-packed berries and often foreshadow how good a vineyard will be in ten to fifteen years time. The combination gives the best of both worlds; brightness, structure, ageability, complexity, and of course Brecon’s signature mouthfeel. Even the oak framework is multi-layered and suitably intriguing.
